Team Jets hosted Cumberland today at Fort Regent. In a close run and exciting opening quarter Jets battled hard and it's all level at 15 each. However it was Cumberland who by half time had taken the upper hand and a 3 goal lead (22-25). However there were lots of positive passages of play to keep the crowd's hopes alive but unfortunately with a strong 3rd quarter Team Jets just couldnt catch up Cumberland and so lost for the 6th time in a row. The final score 39-49.
Captain Lauren Devine said after the game ‘We’ve got to be brave now … brave and bolshie,’ said Devine – Jets' player of the match in their latest defeat. ‘We’ve tried to stick to being safe. Maybe now it’s about doing some rotations, trying new combinations and most importantly enjoying it.' Jets next face Leyton away having the honor of playing in the Copper Box! Squad against Cumberland: Josie Le Masurier, Lauren Devine, Lisa Luce, Nicole Goddard, Jacy Brown, Libby Rothwell, Rosie Tonner, Tallula Norman, Becca Forrest, Emily Green
