![]() With Team Jets chasing a 10 v 14 scoreline at the end of the 1st quarter no one could predict the unbelievable twists and turns that the match would take. On the whistle of half time Jets GS Emily Green ensured the teams were level at 23 each going into the break. Both teams came out determined to work hard to gain possession. The instense work from both sides was clearly evident as it took 3 minutes for a goal to be scored at the start of the 3rd quarter. It was Jets who eventually took the upper hand though with goals coming thick and fast, but it was a slim lead that wouldn't last as Billericay fought back taking a slim advantage after they levelled the game. But before the end of an exciting 3rd quarter Jets were back in charge. At the start of the 4th and final quarter Jets had the lead 34 v 31. But with goals coming thick and fast the lead changed, and with Jets fighting hard they then regained the lead. The crowed were on the edge of their seats and with only 5 minutes to go the game was all level at 40 each before Billericay then gained a slight 2 goal lead (40 v 42) but in an unbelievable twist and with incredible on court play Jets came back to bring the game to a draw 43 v 43.

![]() In their first match Under 16 Team Jets faced Taunton. It was an even start to the match with a few errors allowing Taunton to capitalise early on. With an even score line however Team Jets settled and with unanswered goals, were leading 12 v 6 just a few minutes later. With an increasing number of tips and interceptions WD Kiah Kuppe and C Gabby Scott pushed the score to 33 v 14 by half time, with Jets denying the opposition much opportunity to reach their shooting circle. With Nicole Hamilton coming on at WA and Brody Morris at GS Jets extended their lead to 53 v 20; Morris showing great accuracy (87%). In the final quarter Jets never took their foot off the gas, GK Natasha Searson and GD Molly Carre linked well as a defensive unit, claiming a large number of tips and interceptions which earnt Carre the POM honours. Final score 65 v 29. In their second game of the day Jets faced Penzance and again took a little time to settle, however with a 100% shooting record, Captain Sophie Harvey steered her team to a first quarter lead of 19 v 11, scoring 15 herself. C Kirsty Ludlum showed great development, setting the pace of the games and gaining turnovers across the court. Her hard work meant Penzance were restricted to a 4 goal quarter meaning a half time score of 37 v 15. After a positive team talk, Jets came out strongly showing great attacking prowess to capitalise on forced errors and preventing Penzance from scoring in the first 5 minutes of the half. Maddie Fitzgerald-Wilkins at WA provided a key link to the circle with dynamic movement. Scoring 16 out of 20, GA Lily Jones ensured Jets extended a now large 3rd quarter lead to 59 v 19. With the final score at 73 v 25, Captain Sophie Harvey gained the POM award for her accurate shooting and strong performance in attack. After the matches Head Coach Chrissy Bannerman said “I am delighted with the Team performances today. Playing with improved confidence after picking up a Draw away to TFC last weekend, Coach Linda Andrews was happy to see the squad take their gam plan and training work onto the court. Emily Green picked up the Player of the Match Honors with the team choosing Tallula Norman as the Mizuno Player of the Match. Team Jets 13,25,33,47 Kent County 8,14,25,35 Under 14 team Jets travelled away for another double header against North Dorset and Pinehurst. They showed good depth in the squad as they took 2 strong wins. In a confident preformance the young side dominated from the off and took a 35 v 6 win. Centre Maddie Somay took the Player of the Match honors. In the second game another focused performance was required and the U14s didn't disappoint. With a fantastic defensive display GD Isabella Valeur-Adu was awarded the Player of the Match title as she lead her team to a 27 v 10 win. Coaches: Lorraine Johnstone and Jackie Norman

Last time these two sides met, Jets managed to score in the dying seconds to take the victory. This time round they were twice chasing in the 3rd quarter however managed to close the deficits and gained the 3 points for a draw. GK Josie Le Masurier gained the POM honours in the match.
