Team Jets put in a great performance as they beat 2nd placed Ryland in their penultimate home fixture at Fort Regent. After a great start which put them a few goals ahead Ryland fought hard to bring it back to a one goal game by the end of the first quarter but Team Jets stormed ahead in the 2nd quarter capitalising on interceptions.
The third quarter however left the crowd a little worried as errors crept in and the Ryland defence upped their game making it hard for the Jets shooters to obtain opportunities or rebounds. It wasn't until the final 5 minutes that Team Jets were able to create chances and with some accurate shooting finally regained the lead and won the match. Well done to the squad: Lauren Devine, Josie Le Masurier, Lisa Luce, Jacy Brown, Abbie Hazley, Sophie Holmes, Jenna Meredith, Georgia Hickey, Nicole Goddard, Rebecca Forrest It was a slow start for Team Jets as Clan took the lead for the majority of the opening quarter of the home match. With a low scoring 15 minutes for both teams Jets fought hard for every ball and managed to pull ahead by one goal going into the break. With a great start to the second quarter, the home side piled on the pressure and it took Clan 4 minutes to get their 10th goal. It meant the home side took a good advantage by half time leading 22 v 15. With a switch for Team Jets shooters - Lynsey Pitman moved to GS and Sophie Holmes to GA the 3rd quarter saw Clan close the gap with some accurate shooting, but Team Jets took the upper hand in the last quarter to win the game 44 v 30. U16 Team Jets have had two big wins against Chelts Falcons 40 v 20 and Hucclecote Flames 49 v 28.
Unfortunately U14 Team Jets lost both of their games 28 v 14 to Team Bath and 19 v 12 to West Exe but showed a lot of determination and team work. In a home game against league leaders and unbeaten Tameside Jets were fantastic leading at half time 22 v 21. However errors cost them and despite getting the 6 goal game back to within one goal Tameside were too strong and ended up winning the match
Team Jets 22, 34, 45 - POM Lynsey Pitman (GA) Tameside 21, 38, 52 Despite a strong finish with Jets fighting to the final whistle and winning the last quarter Grangetown had the upper hand and Jets lost by 10 goals to Grangetown.
Final score 40 v 50 Team Jets were tonight crowned The LRD Team of the Year 2015 at the Betway Channel Islands Sports Personality Awards.

In front of a packed crowd Team Jets put in a fantastic display against 3rd placed Worcester Reds at Fort Regent. With the game fast paced from start to finish the squad performed brilliantly against very physical opponents. After leading by a couple of goals throughout most of the game they managed to extend their lead to 6 in the 3rd quarter however Worcester never gave up and with a last change midway through the last quarter to WA they forged on to draw the game level with minutes to go. With the crowd on the edge of their seats urging on Team Jets they gained a one goal lead with the match finishing 40 v 39. A very hard fought but deserved win for the home team. Guthrie is in contention for the third time while it is Simpson’s second appearance in the final four. Netballer Guthrie enjoyed another excellent twelve months on the world stage - she was named as Rookie of the Year in her first season with Northern Mystics in the ANZ Championship before helping England to a bronze medal at the 2015 World Cup.
