Team Jets Netball Club are proud to have achieved Bronze CAPS after it has been announced today that everything has been confirmed. Congratulations to all who have been involved in this fantastic achievement. The Club Action Planning Scheme (CAPS) is a programme designed to captivate you and your netball club. It aims to support you to deliver a quality netball development programme and operate in line with best practice.
CAPS is aligned to the Sport England Clubmark accreditation scheme which is the only National cross sports quality accreditation scheme for clubs with junior sections. It is built around a set of core criteria which ensure that accredited clubs operate to a set of consistent, accepted and adopted minimum operating standards. At the Jersey Netball Association's Dinner and Awards Presentation Lauren Devine was named Team Jets Player of the Year. In the lead up to the presentation Coach Linda Andrews said "This was a difficult choice this year with many players receiving the same amount of votes from their fellow team mates". Leaving the coaches to decide they were forced to review the contenders. "This player goes the extra mile – not only at game time, but at training, ensuring everyone, team mates and training partners alike are aware of what is going on and the expectations required to be a Jet. She leads by example both on and off the court with such a positive attitude. She is well organised, motivated and an excellent leader." Team Jets Players were also the recipients of the following Jersey Netball Association Awards:

They however finish 2nd in the U16 Regional League Division One after winning 9 out of their 12 matches. This means the squad will compete in the Regional Play-off on the 17th April with the top 2 teams gaining the right to play in the National Play-offs (Sunday 1st May). Team Jets dreams of reaching a third consecutive England Netball promotion play-off were quashed on Sunday with a 60-40 loss to Premier League 2 rivals Telstars. Needing two victories from their last two games to have any chance of finishing inside the top three, Jets were second best from start to finish against a side who forced a 43-43 draw at Fort Regent in November. The Kent-based hosts achieved a 100 per cent success rate in the shooting circle in the opening two quarters, and with Jets shooters Lynsey Pitman (46% accuracy) and Sophie Holmes (69%) struggling at the other end their eight-goal first-quarter deficit continued to grow. Jets drop to fifth in the table ahead of next weekend's season-ending tie at home to Premier Romans on Saturday afternoon.
